ADELAIDE PARK LANDS ASSOCIATION

The biennial Adelaide Park Lands Art Prize highlights through art, the beauty, rarity and fragility of the Open, Green, Public Park Lands that garland the City of Adelaide.

The prize is open to artists of all ages, from all countries.

Artists are encouraged to use their art make a statement or capture the essence of the Open, Green, Public Adelaide Park Lands.

This Art Prize is an opportunity for artists to convey the many faces of and/or values of the Adelaide Park Lands.

They were the world’s first public park, and Adelaide is the world’s only city built inside a park.

ELIGIBLE MEDIUMS

Painting, drawing, printmaking, multimedia, three-dimensional work, photography and video. If in doubt please send your query via our Contacts page.

ENTRIES & RULES

The competition is open to artists worldwide whether novice or professional.

There are no age limitation. We have a couple of dedicated categories for younger artists to have additional opportunity.

All visual arts media welcome. Some media may have some special requirements what may limit compatibility.

JUDGING

We are looking to appoint five independent judges have been appointed.

Entries will be judged on artistic merit. When shortlisting artworks, judges will not be given the name of the artist. Judges’ decisions are final, and no discussion will be entered into regarding their decisions.

Winners will be announced at the launch of the finalists’ exhibition.

SALE OF ARTWORKS

This is a non-acquisitive art prize.

All finalist’s works are for sale. Proceeds support artists and contribute to the Adelaide Park Lands Association’s efforts to preserve and improve your Park Lands.
