Statement:
What would a city be without trees? From the very beginning, those responsible for planning and developing Adelaide city knew the answer. Now we are blessed with the wonderful Park Lands, nature reserves, linear parks and private gardens that reflect the value we place on the green environment. Nowhere better is this care exemplified than in Victoria Park.One can immerse oneself or screen oneself from the city traffic noise with only sounds of birds to be heard.
In my work I have depicted a Red Wattlebird and a Banksia, indigenous fauna and flora that can be found in Victoria Park, along with a city and parkland tree backdrop This is the setting for human leisure activities.
